I presented at the 2nd Global Impact Forum held in Pittsburgh from November 3-5, 2025 at the David Lawrence Convention Center. Together with my colleagues, Rich Platt, and Ed McKaveney, we conducted an interactive workshop using the CoSN Driving K12 Innovation framework. I also joined a workshop on developing an AI framework for K-12 Education led by Jordan Mroziak, who gathered information about AI in Pittsburgh for the Remake Learning effort on AI in Education, and Michael Golden, Vice Dean of Innovative Programs and Partnerships at the University of Pennsylvania.

I taught a Fall class for Carnegie Mellon’s Osher program, “Telling Your Personal Story.” I shared some of my work along with my guest experts that included: Charlee Brodsky, Iris Samson, Paul Sloop, and Rick Smolan. Each week my guests shared their insights and stories. The final week the senior adults to shared their own personal stories.

This year I helped to connect the Mark Cuban Foundation AI Boot Camp to the Neighborhood Learning Alliance (NLA) . I serve on the Board of NLA. When Justin Aglio, the associate vice president for Penn State Outreach and executive director of the Readiness Institute at Penn State, called me to see if NLA could help to put on the event, I immediately reached out to Kashif Henderson, the Executive Director for NLA. We then contacted Howard Stern. our partner at Carlow University. For three Saturdays we had 30 high school students from Western PA work collaboratively at Carlow with a group of mentors and volunteers from both the Readiness Institute and NLA to solve a series of problems relating to personal interests ranging from Pickleball to Personal Investments.

I continue to work as an adviser for the Three Rivers Educational Technology Conference managed by the Pittsburgh Technology Council. This year’s event will include a networking gathering at Aurora Innovation’s office in the Strip District on January 15, 2026 and a full-day conference on January 19 at Dorseyville Middle School in the Fox Chapel Area School District. I’ll present with Ed Hidalgo an interactive session, The Future of Work: Are We Asking the Right Questions, looking at Career Connection success stories at the River Valley and Elizabeth Forward School Districts. This year we’ll also have student leadership conference in the afternoon after students showcase their projects in the morning.

For the past three years I’ve been producing a series of slideshows, collages, photo albums and movies (see : My Gallery.) Here is my Flickr album with fall scenes around Pittsburgh.
